The SEC has accused the president and CEO of Dell, Michael Dell, former CEO Kevin Rollins and former CFO James Schneider for their role in violations of disclosure. The SEC has accused Schneider, former regional president fragility of Finance Nicolas Dunning, and former Deputy Supervisor Leslie Jackson for their roles in the accounting error.
Dell Inc. has agreed to pay a penalty of $ 100 million to unwind the SEC charges. Michael Dell and Rollins each agreed to pay a $ 4 million in Amerca, and Schneider agreed to pay $ 3 million to settle SEC charges against them.Dunning and Jackson have also agreed to file charges with the SEC.
"The accuracy and completeness are the cornerstones of corporate public disclosure under the federal securities laws," said Robert Khuzam, director of the SEC Division of Enforcement. "Michael Dell and other senior executives of Dell flatten short of that standard on several occasions over many years, and today they are held accountable.
